Cory Soble

16 Alpha Head Coach

Cory Soble joined 303 as a coach in the summer of 2023.

Soble comes to 303 after serving as the assistant coach at North Carolina Wesleyan University from 2019-2022 under Vicky Gentile, where he developed recruiting strategies and worked extensively with the Bishops front-row play. During his time with the Bishops, Cory helped the program see their two winningest seasons and highest finish in conference since 2012. Cory worked heavily with team offense, as well as individual and team blocking, seeing the Bishops top the USA-South Athletic Conference in total blocks after finishing 6th of 17 the year prior.

From 2017-2019, Cory served as the assistant coach at Millsaps College under Centennial, CO native Jaime Fisher (nee Burns). While at Millsaps, Soble helped the Majors to their winningest season since 2014. Working heavily with the Major's individual and team blocking, the team saw top honors in the SAA for total team blocks after finishing 4th the year prior.

Before college coaching, Soble was an assistant coach for the girls’ volleyball team at the Whitfield School outside of St. Louis, Missouri. While there, he helped the team win its first district championship in four years and advance to the state tournament sectional semifinals. Soble also coached with the boys’ program at Webster Groves High School where he helped the team reach the state quarterfinals in 2014.

In April 2021, Cory was appointed the Head Coach of the US Mens Volleyball team for the 21st World Maccabiah Games, where the team took bronze.

Soble attended Saint Louis University before transferring, where he played for their NCVF DII men’s team.

A native of Rochester, NY, Soble is a 2016 graduate of Webster University with a bachelor’s degree in education studies, where he was able to present research on long-term athletic development at Webster University's Research Across Disciplines conference in the fall of 2015.

I was born and raised in Centennial, Colorado. I graduated from Cherry Creek high school in 2017. I then went on to further my education and volleyball career at Black Hills State University. At BH I played four years of collegiate volleyball and got my degree in elementary education with a minor in reading. Then graduated in the spring of 2021 with my degree in elementary education and moved back home to Colorado. I am currently in my third year of teaching Kindergarten and am lucky enough to be back in Cherry Creek School District as a teacher this time! I absolutely adore my job and the students I get to work with everyday! This will be my fourth year coaching at 303 and I am excited to be coaching 16s again!! While this is my fourth year I have been in the 303 family for over 10 years. I started playing at 303 when I was 15! I love coaching at 303!
